FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics is a non-profit organization that runs annual spectator sport competitions using robots that are designed to compete in several engineering challenges. Every year we construct a specially-designed robot that utilizes various materials and products to compete in a game which is new and unique every season. However, the main goal of our team is not to build robots, but to inspire students to pursue engineering-related careers.
FIRST Robotics offers an exciting platform from which engineering and STEM education can be taught. FIRST Robotics provides a goal for students to reach and a fun competition in which to test their design skills. Since the founding of our team, we have continuously improved our designs and our students have won several awards. Furthermore, 100% of our alumni have pursued higher education. Some have even created their own companies, worked in political offices, and applied for their own patents.
Team 3555 Aluminati is a FIRST Robotics Competition Team for high school students, organized and run under the guidance of adult mentors, supported by their parents and other volunteers.
